How to write for Fiftyshift

We'd like to hear from you. Create an account and start blogging here. Or post a comment to another writer's post. Send your comments and ideas to: letters@fiftyshift.com.

Want to contribute to the site? Here's how:

Guest blog: Send a post of 40-50 lines maximum on a topic of interest to readers age 45-65. Include links! Please include your real, full name and email address so we can contact you. If it works, we'll edit and publish it, with your name as the byline. Please also send a one-sentence tagline of how you'd like to be described, with a link to your site or blog.

You can guest blog in one of two ways:

1. Send your post to editorial@fiftyshift.com, or:

2. Create an account for yourself (this means you become an official member of the site), and click into the Create Content button on the left hand side of the page. Click into Blog Entry, write your post, (don't forget tags-and you can enter photos or graphics.) Then click Submit at the bottom of the page.

The post will appear after it's been cleared by editors. We don't publish unless it meets our standards.

Become a regular blogger: If you'd like to commit to sending a post on a regular basis, get in touch. Most of our bloggers re-post pieces that work for our audience from their personal blogs. It brings you more readers and helps us build out the site. We'll also include you on our contributors page.

Send an essay: We welcome essays of up to 1,000 words on topics of interest to readers age 45-65. We reserve the right to edit  the material.

Send a reported news stories: If you're a journalist and you'd like to recycle work that fits our audience, send it along to editorial@fiftyshift.com. Please do not send "sponsored articles," or pieces that have been subsidized by sources.

I do not pay for submissions at this point, but I will when I start generating ad revenue. I will gladly post links to your site or blog.
